Theft of Texel Lambs

Information sent on behalf of Cumbria Police


Police have received a report of sheep being stolen from the Parsonby area near to Cockermouth.

This incident is believed to have happened between the 1st August 2018 and 14th October 2018.


The sheep are described at 10 Texel Lambs aged 5 months old.

The sheep did not have ear tags, but were marked with green across the shoulders.

Any one who as any information relating to this incident, should please contact the Police immediately on telephone number 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800  555 111.

Police ask that rural communities stay vigilant and that any suspicious persons, vehicles or behaviour is reported as soon as possible to telephone number 101 or in the case of a crime taking place please contact 999.
