TELEPHONE SCAM ALERT- INTERNET CUT OFF SCAM

Cumbria Trading Standards are warning local residents to be wary of telephone calls telling them that their Internet will be cut of if they do not follow given instructions.  Consumers are then being advised that someone claiming to be from the Law Service will contact them and that their national insurance has been stopped/closed.
 
Cumbria Trading Standards and Cumbria Police advice is simple; don’t give personal or financial information to any cold callers.
