Information sent on behalf of Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch

Police launch crackdown on street level drug dealers.
A recent operation in Copeland targeted street level drug dealers and resulted in two arrests for alleged possession with intent to supply a controlled drug and two for alleged possession of a controlled drug.
Twelve wraps of heroin and a bag of white powder were recovered.  Investigations are continuing.
This operation was made possible due to the reports and information given to us by the public, which reinforces the message that we need you to report issues to us so we can provide appropriate resources in the right places.

County Lines
Nationally, organised crime gangs are evolving the way in which they operate and are always looking for new ways of evading justice, such as letting out properties in order to house modern slavery victims and operate illegal call centres.  By renting larger homes in mainly rural and concealed areas they are hoping that they can operate without being noticed.
To help combat this, we are asking all Copeland residents to be vigilant and keep an eye out for any suspicious activity in their communities, particularly rural areas.

Copeland Police want you to report incidents of ASB
Please report any incidents of crime or antisocial behaviour to us.
Many people do not report perceived minor issues to us in the belief that we are busy and have limited resources or even think 'what is the point?'.
While we do have finite resources we are committed to providing the best service we can to our communities. We can only do that if we have an accurate picture of crime and anti-social behaviour incidents.
We will allocate resources according to levels of reports and to ensure that your area has its fair share of policing. Please report all you can.
If a crime is in progress then please use 999. If it's non-emergency please call 101 or email: 101@cumbria.police.uk

Thank you
