Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association (CNWA) is a registered charity, governed by a Board of Trustees, and represents the interests of Neighbourhood Watch members and members of other Watches throughout Cumbria. The High Sheriff of Cumbria acts as the President of the Association.
CNWA chairs the Joint Management Group for Neighbourhood Watch in Cumbria whose representatives include Cumbria Constabulary, Cumbria County Council, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service, Cumbria Community Safety partnerships and the Cumbria Association of Local Councils. It is also represented on the Cumbria Resilience Forum and has links with many other community based organisations throughout the County.
The main aims of CNWA are to help to share best practice among its members, to provide relevant guidance and information and represent its members` interests to relevant statutory agencies locally and nationally. It has its own web site at: www.cumbria-nhw.org and each year runs an AGM and conference.
