Cumbria Constabulary is committed in creating safer, stronger communities by working with local people to drive down crime and tackling the issues that matter most to them. We aim to do everything we can to ensure our communities are kept informed of what is going on in their area and through Cumbria Community Messaging they can have the latest information for their area at the touch of a button.
We currently have more than 2,000 police officers and staff who are proud to serve just under half a million Cumbrian residents and the 23 million visitors who travel to our picturesque county each year. Our aim is to ensure our communities have confidence in our service and feel able to influence and get involved in Policing in their area.
Local people are the strongest weapon in the fight against crime and we have 10 dedicated Neighbourhood Policing Teams based in communities around the county providing a visible presence on our streets, and engaging with local residents to identify and tackle local priorities. Protecting the public to ensure there are less victims of crime and more criminals brought to justice is at the heart of what we do.
Cumbria is one of the safest places to live, work and visit in the country and together we can keep it that way.
